Closing your air vents to lower your power bill is an urban myth. This actually raises your power bill due to a decrease in the system’s efficiency. Closing air vents puts more pressure on your system’s compressor, which can result in a break down. Simply put - don't close air vents in lesser utilized rooms of your house to save money on electricity.
